Tournament Begins Sunday, February 11 with the

Championship Match of each flight scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, February 25.

 The Men’s Doubles Tournament Committee will collectively make their best attempt to select the

stronger players entered in the tournament and place them in a seeded bracket order. The

remaining players entered in the tournament will be placed with a partner by a blind draw.

 If sickness, injury, or another debilitating event occurs to a player, a substitute may be assigned by

the committee. The substitute must be approved by the Tournament Director.

 No previous “Flight A” champion of the Men’s Tournament can play with any other previous “Flight

A” champion until five (5) years has elapsed.

 A list of the teams and their positions in the draw will be posted at the Mountain Vista Bulletin

Board by Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 4 p.m., as well as distributed via email to club members.

 Teams scheduled to play during the first week should contact their opponents and arrange their

matches as early in the week as possible to get matches completed on time. First week matches

must be finished by 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Each team should bring a new can

of balls to be used for the match. The winning team receives the new unopened can of balls.

 All USTA rules and guidelines will be observed during match play. All matches will be the best of 2

of 3 sets with regulation scoring used. If each of the first two sets go to six games all, the set may

be determined by a 7-point tie-breaker. In the event the first two sets are split, the match shall be

determined by either a 10-point tie-breaker or by all players agreeing to play out the third set. If the

third set is tied at 6 games all, a 7-point tie-breaker must be played to determine the match.

(Players have the option of playing a regular or Coman tie-breaker.)

 An entry fee of $5.00 per person is payable on line.

Seniors for Kids, a Sun City group,

which provides toys, clothing and knitted projects to agencies supporting children is the Charity

Recipient for the Men’s Doubles Tournament. Donations from players or individuals who do not

wish to play in the tournament will be gratefully accepted.

 All matches must be finished by 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 prior to Sundays

Finals at 10 a.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Please notify one of the committee members

as to the time and day of your matches so a notice can be sent out to club members who wish to
