SCOV TENNIS NEWSLETTER

Please Consider…..

As our season draws to a close it’s good to reflect on how much fun we all have playing tennis and enjoying what the SCOV Tennis Club does for us. But the Club needs your assistance.

We are all volunteers and it takes a few of us to step up each year and agree to take on leadership roles in Club. It’s not hard work – but it needs to be done. A small amount of your time and effort will go a long way to supporting the club.  So please consider helping out.

We need two more people to serve on the board, someone to understudy Jim Benshoof heading up the Mariachi Band concert, and one or two people to lead the Fall 2026 Women’s Inter-league team. Each of us needs to take a turn or two…maybe it’s your turn now!

And a big thank you to everyone who currently volunteers to support the success of the tennis club.

LAST WEDNESDAY NITE LITES OF THE SEASON!

April 22, 2026 at 6:00 PM.  Bring balls, a beverage, snack and friends if ya got ’em!  It’s the last Wednesday Nite Lites for this season, so be sure to come on down to the courts (with the new lighting!).  You don’t have to play, you just have to have a good time.

SCOV TENNIS INFO

  • We have had 13 new members join since October.  Welcome!
  • New ball machine has been very popular and getting significant use. Please remember to sign it out in the log book and lock it back up in the tennis room.  Al Oakland and John Riehm can assist you with training or questions.
  • 2026 Tournaments raised a total of $4,200.00 for the charities.  That total brought the six-year total charitable giving by the SCOV Tennis Club and members from our three annual tennis tourneys to $24,476.00!  What a team!
