Board Meeting Minutes – March 2026
SCOV Tennis Club Board Meeting – Friday, March 2026 Copper Center Time 3:15 p.m.
In attendance: Karen Burnham Vice President, Sally Schuneman Secretary, at-Large
Tom Silverio, Martha Browatzki, Karen Tuke
- Secretary’s January Report Submitted and approved.
- Treasurer’s Report John Blaize in hospital will be reported soon.
- Mariachi Concert Information to be sent by John Blaize shortly The next Mariachi will
be February 21, 2027 Jim Benshoov will check that it is on their calendar. Dave
Burnham did a wonderful job with the lights. - Club Fair attendance was poor Get better room by signing up sooner.
- Men’s round robin 8 men had a great time with beer provided by club.
- Women’s Up coming tournament on March 22 Finals we have 16 women
- University of Arizona mens tennis too warm need to go earlier next year in January and
February. The five who went had fun and want to go again. - Spring Social on April 10 – 3 grills for hamburgers and hot dogs are and 10 tables have
been reserved SignupGenius will be set up for reservations and food sign-up - Club Logo – $5 For the Love of tennis Logo for shirts, Karen Tuke has created a
wonderful logo for our stationary and letterhead. - Club Leadership Status new sponsor “
- Fab and Forty Senior Olympics
“ bringing our sponsorship total to $3,700 - Use of Ball Machine-there is no way to reserve the ball machine using Scov on-line as
per Lonnie - Court Lights information nothing new.
- .Pickleball courts 6-7 to be reserved for no play on March 22nd women’s finals.1
- .Additional to calendar of Mixed doubles Pizza on the 29th of March
- April 1st Women’s round robin 8:45 start time.
