Tennis Club Board Meeting Minutes – January 2026

SCOV Tennis Board Meeting Minutes – For Jan 8, 2026 –

In attendance: Randy Harvey P, Karen Burnham VP, Sally Schuneman Sec, Tom

Silverio WEB, at-Large Martha Browatzki & Karen Tuke. John Blaize T, absent.

Kathy Fosmoe was also in attendance.

1. Secretary’s December Report Previously Submitted and Approved

2. Treasurer’s Report was Approved – the Checking Account balance is

$8,913

3. 2025 Actual Budget Results Discussed

4. 2026 Proposed Budget was Approved

5. Karen Burnham and John Blaize were Approved as new Signers on our BMO

bank accounts. Randy Harvey remains as a signer. Mark Lankes and Marybeth

McAteer removed.

6. Sponsorship $3600 received in cash from sponsors in 2025, $400 for 2026

7. Mixed Doubles no entrance fee only donations will be expected along with

$350 donation from Tennis Club It will take place on Friday January 23 and

Finals January 25 at 10:00 AM

8. Mariachi Concert February 15th tickets are $15.00 on sale to members

February 5th and 6th at the courts. On sale to Public February 9th,10th and 11th

at Activity Center. Jim Benshoof is our Mariachi Coordinator

9. Men’s Round Robin will be on 2/22/26 – Pizza served. Donations of $350. will

come from club for all three tournaments.

10. Record Retention: Board minutes and all financial transactions will be kept for seven

years plus current year.  (from SCOV club requirements: Financial Records –

All financial transactions should be recorded in the treasurer’s records, and

such records must be retained for a period of 7 years plus current year.)

11. Club Leadership – updated on tennis website

12. Use of Ball Machine: we are posting rules on the tennis ball machine. It must

be kept locked up when not in use

13. Web Tom Silverio will continue as administrator with Bobbe Cook supporting

newsletter and eblasts. Joel Gerber is the website backup person. (I got some

help from John Riehm but he has not signed on in any role.)

14. Bereavement Communication to Tennis membership will be made upon

request or coordination with family member

15. Tennis club Branding new LOGO Karen Tuke committee of Sally, Martha, Ray

M. and Karen B.

16. Sandy Fritz has posted a shoe drive is ongoing – new and lightly used shoes,

especially for children’s sizes are in need.

Glenn Morse and Karen Tuke won Gold at the Senior Olympics
